Updated: Sep 7, 2021

In 1977 the band Ram Jam made the song, Black Betty, an older song but still a classic. When the song was released it was known for its catchy lyrics and rhythm. The band was from New York. They were an active band from 1977 to 1978, they were not together for a very long time but made a hit song together that everyone liked. The members of the band starting with the lead vocals was Myke Scavone, then the bass was David Goldflies, the drummer was David Fleeman, Howie Arthur Blauvelt was the bass guitar, Pete Charles was also the drummer and lastly Tom Kurtz was the lead guitar. When released the song hit 18 on the US billboard hot 100 songs, even today on youtube it has over 230 million views.
