Interview With Mr. Moll

Who. When asked about who convinced Mr. Moll to start teaching he gave me a very interesting answer… he told me it wasn’t an individual but more a group of individuals. To be more specific a group of his college buddy’s. They all were majoring in a musical arts degree. They all pushed each other to succeed in their areas of study and they practiced together

What. When asked about his favorite thing about Orrick, Mr. Moll really did touch me. His favorite part of teaching was a little bit of the subject matter and more the way he gets to teach. Because he has gotten into a pattern in teaching at Orrick he has found his niche. But he raised a very good point in larger schools they have multiple music instructors such as an elementary music, Jr. High music, and then high school. Here at Orrick he is with us (if you start at the beginning) in the 5th grade. He is then with us through the rough patches through the end of elementary, the struggles of Jr. High and finally the experience of high school. Ending our senior year he has been with us for 7 years. Is there any other teacher that has taught us for longer?

When. Moll has been teaching at Orrick since the 2003-2004school year. That’s SEVENTEEN YEARS!

Where. When asked about where his dream job would be he said he wished that he could teach with a bigger school but he had reservations about that because it would not have the same teaching experience he has here. He would like to teach at a university so he could work on his craft and hone it to perfection in a piano hall.

Why. When moll was first on the search for a job in the world for his teaching he received a call from our old principal. Mr. Wrisinger asked him to come over to Orrick for an interview. At the time Mr. Moll had no idea where Orrick was. Mr. Wrisinger told him “it’s just down the road from Worlds Of Fun on 210” though he isn’t wrong I personally wouldn’t say that it isn’t just down the road.

Interview with random student: Nolan Werle

Who. When asked about who was the biggest inspiration to continue schooling I was given not a name. Not even a gender. But he gave me a very honest and true answer. His inspiration drives me just the same. His inspiration is money and success.

What. When asked about what he wanted to be when he grows up. He told me he wants to become an electrician. He goes to the Excelsior Springs Area Career Center for the electrical program taught by Mr. Goldsmith

When. When Nolan came to Orrick. He gave me an answer I did not expect. Unlike many of Orrick’s students he came in the 1st grade. The same year I came here 2011

Where. When asked about where he’d rather go to school he told me he’d rather go to excelsior springs solely because of the multitude more opportunities offered

Why. When I asked him why he doesn’t change to the excelsior school he told me he’d rather finish out his schooling career with the school he started
